Attachment and Trauma Specialists

Specializing in the treatment of youth with attachment and trauma related issues.

What we do

Attachment and Trauma Specialists is an organization dedicated to the development and promotion of healthy family relationships.

We are all licensed social workers and trained psychotherapists. We each have additional, extensive training in diagnosing and treating children, youth and adults with Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD); other difficulties on the continuum of bonding and attachment; and issues of trauma, adoption, and complicated grief.

Using a family approach, we offer unique assessment and a continuum of services based on sound attachment and trauma theories.

When families contact us…

Families often contact us when traditional forms of therapy have been unsuccessful and there is a serious risk of family disruption. Generally, families come to us frustrated, suffering the pain of attachment difficulties. We are here to help with compassion, skill, and a strong commitment to our clients and their families.
You may contact Attachment and Trauma Specialists for treatment, consultation, education, or other services if you are:

  • An adoptive family

  • A foster family

  • A birth family

  • A treatment professional

Each clinician is an independent private provider business, providing services and operating completely independent from any control or liability of each other. Each provider carries their own business licenses, Department of Health mental health license and liability insurance. Each provider has their own business practices and policies. The Attachment and Trauma Specialists website serves solely as a tool to help client find providers of therapy services and is not a therapy or healthcare service itself.

. . . I then walked out of there feeling like a whole different person. Like I had some love in me and that I could take some risk at letting my parents take care of me. I would look at them in the eyes. I would hug them back. I would feel more secure and at home than before. I would feel more connected.
